I was at one time in my life about as left wing as you could be.
I hated our government but not the country (not sure that has changed).
More than anything else though looking back on those years I am embarrassed by my own arrogance.
That is why I know these people and how they think.
Representative Jackson ignoring a woman’s question to take a cell phone call in the middle of one of the infamous town hall meetings.
Barbara Boxer admonishing a general about the way he addressed her highness.
Nancy Pelosi calling average citizens mobs.
I could go on and on.
Who do these people think they are?
What gives them the right?
I’ll tell you.
They think they are smarter than the rest of us and know what is best for all of us.
They think this because they are rarely if ever challenged in this misguided belief.
I’m not talking about the radio pundits or Fox news but the everyday media. Just listen to any press conference with President Obama and the softball questions.
So, when average citizens openly question the policies of our lords and ladies we are labled as nuts or fringe or fanatics. The sad thing is this is not a cynical belief it is truly held by these “enlightened” souls.
I am picking on Democrats here but the Republicans aren’t much better.
We must find a way to take our country back from the professional politicians who answer only to themselves, the money behind them and the lobbyists.
We must be vocal.
Write your local newspaper.
Write to your congressman or woman.
Let them know that we are sick of this and will not take it anymore.
Let them know that until they declare martial law (and I’m not kidding about that) we have a voice.

In the words of one ” Domestic Terrorist” at a town hall: ” I voted you in and I’ll vote you out!”
As much as the media tries to paint so many as “Astroturf Racists” that don’t want poor people to have health insurance – AND DON’T CONFUSE THAT WITH HEALTH CARE – we are simply ” The Pissed”.
We’re pissed about King George II’s assault on the 4th Amendment.
We are pissed that Obama the Glorious is expanding that assault -with eyes on the 1st and 2nd – with executive order and after extra-Constitutional executive order.
We’re pissed about TARP.
We’re pissed it benefited banks formerly mismanaged by our current cabinet members and Czars.
We’re pissed about the Car bailouts.
We’re pissed they decided which dealerships would be closed by which party the dealerships donate to.
We’re pissed, that for political maneuvering, one war was said to be “illegal” and one was said to be “just” with zero hope and change to found – except for pre-arranged time tables adhered to for the “illegal” and more troops for the “just”- with no objective or exit strategy.
We’re pissed about the quadrupling of the national debt while groups that match the “flavor of the month” line their pockets.
We’re pissed that The State encouraged citizens to rat out fellow citizens if they disagreed with house bill 3200 – virtually the only thing we could read on the subject that The State wants to pass light speed before we are allowed to read what will be the actual legislation on the subject.
On and on. For those running from face to face contact with their own voters: It’s not about racism. It’s not about classism. It is exactly why they are yelling you down.
Many of us would support catastrophic health insurance for all – you know, the actually reason to own health insurance – but the opposition to any such State grab is blood simple…
We don’t f****** trust you. We don’t f****** believe a single word you say. WE DON’T F****** TRUST YOU!
